As promised, more from my past effort on a really interesting project that never made it. For these I started in Painter and got an interesting background then proceeded to Photoshop for some of the detail work. I'll be posting more of this soon....

Update Time!!

It's been too damn long......I'll be updating more very soon. This little sketch is from a project I was on a couple years ago. I worked with some great people on the project but it unfortunately was dropped. At least I got some fun work out of it.

Watercolor?

Yesterday, I was inspired to join in with a couple other "Sonyites" and take a lunch-hour and attempt a watercolor. I haven't chose to use that medium in YEARS, but I thought it was worth a try. We walked down the street and found a suitable spot and went at it. I sketched a rough and then went straight into paint. It was definitely different than a cintique...where's the undo button?? Afterwards, I added some penwork, scanned it in, and voila'.....

Hope everyone had a good holidays. Mine was anything but relaxing...but it was, for the most part, fun.

Looking forward to some interesting projects in the coming year and I anticipate trying some new things, artwise. There is so much inspirational work being done around me here at SPA that I feel compelled to raise my 'game'. Also, I have been stocking up on some great reference material in books and on the web.

This is something I started before the break.....just got the chance to finish it now.

I just had to share this drawing from my daughter, Erika, age 4. I believe it's 2 snowmen and Santa Claus, but....Santa's looking a bit like a 'beatnik' bohemian, isn't he?
